The West Anchorage High School community will create an environment where students and adults come together cooperatively to strive for academic achievement and social-emotional growth. Our diverse community will encourage responsibility, promote honesty and cooperation, and empower students to have self-respect in order to achieve success today and in the future.

Established in 1953, West Anchorage High School is a diverse, student-centered community where students and adults come together for academic excellence.  We offer students a wide variety of opportunities to experience a rigorous and engaging education ranging from Highly Gifted, International Baccalaureate, Spanish and Russian Immersion, School Through the Arts, and our Medical and Process Technology Academies. Our students succeed in the classroom, on stage, and on the athletic fields giving them a well-rounded high school experience.
