FUN FACT:
Did you know that students from all over ASD borrow our books? This year we shared 229 titles via the district's interlibrary loan program. We also borrowed 118 books from other ASD libraries
POPULAR TITLES
OUR LIBRARY COLLECTION

This year we added 508 print titles to our collection! Students also have access to 606 new additions to Sora! Special thanks to the West High Alumni Association, who funded the purchase of several new audio books, as well as digital copies of the 26-27 high school Battle of the Books titles!
Removing unused titles (called "weeding") is important annual maintenance for school libraries. This year we weeded 750 books from our collection. Areas of focus for were fiction, graphic novels, and picture books. Books were removed if they were in poor condition or had not circulated in the past 5 years.
We also separated the manga titles from our graphic novel collection. Manga books now have their own section and are alphabetized by series title rather than author. It's been a popular change with our readers!
RESEARCH

NoodleTools is ASD's research organizational tool and citation generator. MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian formats are available.
Students on our campus logged into NoodleTools 7,913 times this school year and created 3,698 Works Cited pages!
LIBRARY VISITS

Hundreds of classes visited the library this year for book checkout, research lessons, guest speakers, standardized testing, and special projects.
We also welcomed nearly 27,000 students on hall passes this year. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to sign in on the iPad! The chart below lists the reasons students visited the library individually.

THANKS FOR A FUN YEAR!
Thanks to those who spent time with us in the library this year, whether it was to meet friends before or after school, snag a study room to prepare for an exam, or check out your next great read. You all make the West/Romig library a special place!
