West High Graduation:  May 13th at 2 PM at the Alaska Airlines Center: doors open an hour ahead of time. Please see the District Link to graduation for all the information you need to know about parking, the clear bag policy and all other information. 

Graduation tickets and yard signs will be dispersed to the graduate at the mandatory graduation meeting on May 8th. Tickets are limited to 6 per
graduate. We know this is not ideal and encourage families to reach out to friends to see if they have extras to spare. The graduation ceremony will also be livestreamed. Graduates are expected to arrive 1 hour prior to the event and enter through the auxiliary gym side door. No balloons or noise makers will be allowed inside the venue. After the ceremony, please note there is no access to the floor from the stands. Students will follow a processional formation to the buildings’ exterior where they may meet up with their family members. Thank you all for being so amazing!

SENIOR COMPLETION ITEMS

Chromebook Return

• Beginning on Monday, May 4th, Seniors can drop off their Chromebooks to the front desk at any time the office is open. Bring the charging cable with the device when you turn it in. Make sure you have completed all the schoolwork that you need the Chromebook for. A Chromebook return station will also be set up at the May 8th graduation meeting.

Textbook and Library Book Return

• Library and Textbook fees can be taken care of through Ms. Goldie.

ASD Google Drive Transfer or Download Data

• You will no longer have access to your ASD Google drive files and resources once you graduate unless you “transfer” the content or “download data” before leaving.

Request Transcript to be sent to a post-secondary school

• If you need your final transcripts uploaded to COMMON APPLICATION and/or COALITION APPLICATION, you must let your counselor know prior to May 21st. Counselors have the ability to send your transcript to ONE school only, so it’s important you let them know which one.  If you applied to a school using their online portal or by some other method, you will need to order your transcript on the ASD website by going HERE. These transcripts will be sent electronically, unless otherwise requested.

May 8th Mandatory Graduation Meeting and Graduation Ticket Pick up

• The meeting will be held at 10:44 AM in the West High Auditorium.

Graduation Gown, Hat, Tassel, and Stole

• Graduating students are expected to wear the attire customarily worn for the graduation ceremony at their school. Cultural regalia guidance is outlined on the ASD website. If you have not ordered your gown, hat, tassel, and stole, call the Josten’s Representative Blake at (907) 223-1127.
